    Can't load '/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/i686-linux/auto/Image/Magick/' for module Image::Magick: /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/i686-linux/auto/Image/Magick/ undefined symbol: XDPSPixelsPerPoint at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.1/i686-linux/ line 229.

    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at line 2.

    desperate isnt the word, i knew i made a mistake by choosing redhat as the os but this punishment isnt fair anymore

    actually ive managed to fix it.

    redhat still sucks
    you need to compile imagemagick with the --enable flag and also force it to look for perl with the --perl flag
