I renewed some .us domains three weeks ago. The whois shows they expire next week.

The only place that shows they're renewed is from within the registrars control panel.

Is this normal?

hmm, usually its instant for .biz .info .org and .us!

try from unix prompt whois -h whois.yourregistrar.com domain.us
or whois domain.us@whois.yourregistrar.com for linux

see the expiration date there if it doesn't match better to contact your registrar might not sent the renewal request to .us registry

.US from enom was instant last I checked. When I renewed some of my godawful .us domains (i truely loathe those ugly things )
