Smile Setting up a hosting company

    Hey

I am setting up a webhost within the next week and I would like some proffesionals to tell me anything I have missed out.

I have set up a reseller account with a domain with p4host.com
I have sorted out a bank and I have got legal advice from my laywer.
I will accept paypal and have verified my account.
    I have chosen phpbb2 forums.

Anything else that you think I need to do?

    Cheers,

    Mark

Yes. Your site is no different than the other 2 million web hosts.

    You need something original

Actually, that $5 might be the best investment he made. Not $5 really but for $ 50 - 60 you might get a real kick-butt template.

Markjut, I'd seriously suggest doing the same thing. No offence, but your web site looks far less professional than the lesshost's one.

Your header has a picture of what looks like a christmas scene. You have some sort of package on the left side with one of those sticky plastic flower/bows things, and then maybe a dart board? On the far right there are some sweat shirts....

I would also choose a different slogan. Your current one "Quality Web Hosting For Cheap Prices" is just not professional. Cheap, for one, is not a good word to use; affordable is much better.

You should also add some images under your PayPal Verified image and the other bar on the left. Maybe add some Linux, Windows, PHP, or MySQL images in there.

Other than your header image, and your slogan, I think your ready to go.. Although you could do a little work on your plans.

I would also suggest that you provide more info in your contact us page. I would never do business with someone that I don't know where their business is.

You may want to consider getting a $6 1-800 number for sales.

You also may want to look into 2checkout or mypaysystems for payment gateway. $49 setup fee.

There are many hosting companies that are reliable and don't give you their location or phone support. I wouldn't really go by their contact information to base an opinion. I would read their service, and read their testimonials if they offer any. The company I am with now doesn't offer phone support nor a mailing address. And they are the most reliable company I have ever delt with.

Hi, it helps to make a really attractive website with very cool things on it. Explain every aspect of your pacakges you offer so they do not question your service. Place techincal support links on your site to get instant chat support with you.
