Hmm. Maybe it's a setting specific to Fireworks rather than a global one. I just exported a file in another program and it maintained the upper case in the file name. But when exporting in FW, it goes to lower.
Problem is that I went through all the FW menu options and I don't see where I can control the case in filenames.

vito, thats strange.
never happend to me before in fireworks, I really cant see why they would make it a setting either. (I'm not using the 2004 version yet however, maybe its a bug in the new version. I'll tell you if it happens to me as well after my upgrade )
silly Q... do you have caps lock on?
you probably didn't overlook that, but I once did.
I got to the point where I re-installed office, before I noticed.

Originally posted by vito Somehow somewhere I modified a setting on my computer. Now, when I export an image from my graphics program and try to use some upper case in the file name, it always gets saved in lower case.
How do I tweak it back to allow upper case in the file name?
Thanks in advance.
Odd. I've never heard anything like that b/f. It only does it in FireWorks?
Can you manually change the file name?
Are you using File > Export Wizard or just File > Export.
It really should do that. Sounds like a FW problem. I can only suggest reinstall.
