    * ImageMajick location

    I have root access to my server which is running redhat 9, php, mysql... how can i check if i have imagemagick? where it's installed? and if it's not installed how can I go about installing it?

    If you know the answer to any of these questions please let me know. Thanks!!

    If you are running on cPanel, you can install it via WHM.

    I dont have cpanel or whm.. I installed it via rpm.. does that matter? For some reason why I do a check for ImageMagick it says it can't find it.. umm and when i did the /usr/bin/convert I got the following.. what does this mean?

    By default, the image format of `file' is determined by its magic

    You can use slocate command to find the path and to check whether the ImageMagick is installed.

    Is there like something I need to install before I install the imagemagick rpm? or should I of done it from source? and when I do the slocate I get the source files on my computer which are located in /usr/local/src/ and I also get a file here: /usr/local/man/man1/ImageMagick.1

    ? I restarted apache and the script still says it's not installed... Is there a sure way I can check if it's installed or not.. I dont think it is?

    To use ImageMagick with perl scripts, you should have to install PerlMagick. Reinstalling the source will help you to have ImageMagick. Refer the following URL for source installation:

    Yea, just put in /usr/bin/convert in any gallery script and will work
