Thread: Reputable hosts

    Reputable hosts

I want to run a clan, and am after a few names to check out. I need at least:

    100MB Space
    3GB Bandwidth
    All the usual goodies
    some sort of control panel

    $5-$6/month? (USD)

    Thanks

    Hi Just me,

I would possibly recommend trying out the New Hosting Quote section and getting a few quotes... after reviewing them, you can ask/search for more information on the hosts here.

Hosting quote address is : http://www.webhostingtalk.com/request.php

    Good luck

    EDIT: Spelling - i before e except after c

I'd have to also agree that you should go with the hostquote option tons of hosts can match that. Many of which will be reputable.

Patron: I read the same way I listen, I ignore the parts I don't agree with. I'm suing you for false advertising.

Make sure you up the price requirement a little. You can not get a quality/reputable host to offer you so much for so little.

    Actually I think he can.

His budget is fair for what he's looking for.

I knew I would get a few like these and I respect that as an opinion. But I just do not feel it is possible, unless you are running a loss leader!

You think more than a dollar per gig is a loss leader?

He can easily obtain quality hosting for $5/3 gigs and there are plenty of hosts out there that have been around for a while that could provide that...

I am sure he can get hosting for that much. But quality?

Atleast in our model traffic is not the only determinent of cost:

    1) We would like to build a personal relationship with every client, which means more time spent and time=money.
    2) Servers, electricity, rental, office, wages ..... there is a pretty long list of overheads

In the end I beleive it comes to YOUR perception of quality. If you think "$1/gig" is synonymous to quality then so be it. Good for you!

And IMHO for that price, he will be able to find quality web hosting which will suit his needs - even with 24 online tech support.

24/7 online tech support would be stretching it.

Whoever you do choose, just a word of advice.
Do your research, and ask questions.

I'd hate to see you back here in a month, with a bad experience.
