.htaccess bandwidth cap

Is it possible to use an .htaccess script to cap the bandwidth in an individual directory?

Not that I am aware of. Check out httpd.apache.org and look over their modules. If you do find something I'd love to hear about it/

check out this page:

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/core.html#addmodule

the LimitRequestBody directive does allow you to state how big an incoming request maybe not sure if it would do the same for out going.

Might be worth looking into tho?

mod_bandwidth ~ Is good and my hosting plans offer that Everyone loves it

You can cap bandwidth for individual dir, for all user or just one user with a unique IP address, etc... The capped bandwidth is shared between all users.

If you are using apache 2, then you are out of luck. You can limit bandwidth with iptable, but you can't do it with .htaccess.
