    DNS error

    Hello,

I can't get a domain name to work, I always get this error from http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsre...n=qdata.net.au

[ERROR: The parent servers say that the domain qdata.net.au does not have any NS records (although they may have some other information on that zone). I can not do a DNS report on a hostname (such as mail.example.com) or a domain name that does not have its own zone.]

I have no clue why it's not working(already after 72 hours), the other domains work just fine.

I appreciate if you can help.

does .net.au need different class C subnets?

    http://dnsstuff.com/tools/lookup.ch?...net.au&type=NS

Seems to be complaining not to have any authoritative DNS servers.

I think this is a problem with dnsreport.com. All of the net.au nameservers give me referrals for qdata.net.au. Are you actually having DNS-related problems with this domain?

Or maybe it was recently fixed and dnsreport has cached the negative response. I do not see any warnings when I visit the page that datums mentioned.

    amz:

Truthfully I don't know how the .au gtld delagates ns lookups.

    Answer:
No NS records exist for qdata.net.au. [Neg TTL=86400 seconds]

    Details:
ns1.dnsserver3.com. (an authoritative nameserver for qdata.net.au.) says that there are no NS records for qdata.net.au.
The E-mail address in charge of the qdata.net.au. zone is: [email protected].

This message here states that ns1.dnsserver3.com is authoritative, then searches there for the nameservers of qdata.net.au. Do you have the same set up for the other net.au that you host ?
