Avoid them if you absolutely have to keep your servers and customers up 24x7.

Avoid them if you have little or no experience managing a server.

If you do know Linux &/or BSD inside and out ... and are an Apache guru who doesn't mind an unannounced and unplanned outtage once every six weeks, then go for it.

This is America. In Hong Kong the servers never went down. Human Resources are more important than technology.

Yea managed.com went down then it went back up then it went back down the then back up again...now its just going tons slow.
I dont really care much about support so if people complain about there support on these forums it doesnt worry me much but i wish they would be up more often even though i just got my server from them yesterday and its already having downtime.

Open a monitoring account with http://www.hyperspin.com ASAP, or with some other independent monitoring service to be able to request your money back with compensation.

Thought this is a google site, with those balls, that's why recommended it. But if you remove the balls, the guys offer pretty much as compared to Alertra. :-)

    How is Managed.com

Im thinking of geting a low end server with them. There prices seem waay too good to be true, especally compared to Ev1, and severmatrix.

low end servers low end support low end uptime low end unfullfilled promises they should have it together Tuesday, just not sure which Tuesday. Good for backups if the data isn't terribly critical.

My final observation is that they make an excellent low cost solution for offsite backup. Other than that I don't see them as a potential upstream provider for clients. Least not yet anyway, but as we all know many things can change over time, for better or for worse.
