does trasnfering registrars affect nameservers setup on the domain?

i know that transferring regisstrars does not affect the actual nameservers listed for the domain, but if you have setup nameservers using the domain, is it reset?

for examepl, if you own domain.com, and as a reseller, setup ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com. upon transferring registrars, would you need to set those nameservers back up?

no you don't need to reset the nameservers back.

Normally you should not have to touch your name servers.
But we have seen many domains get hosed during the transfer process and the name servers get messed up.
Enom seems to be the #1 culprit for this.

If your domain is valuable and you use it for day to day business then you shouldn't be transferring it anyway. The 3 dollars you will save is not worth risking your site being down.

-Steve
