You know, I get customers complaining about the amount of SPAM they're getting when hosted on our RAQ 550, so I decide to install MailScanner, F-Prot and Spamassassin. Done it before on other Redhat boxes without a hitch, but this time it's giving me fits. The only thing different being the OS (Cobalt Linux 7.0).
Anyhow, the problem I'm having is that before I installed the above, Pop3 users were able to send email through the RAQ once they'd authenticated. Now they get an immediate response of "550 5.7.1 <[email protected]**>... Relaying denied. Please check your mail first or restart your mail session.
When I view the maillog the response from sendmail usually looks like:
"Mar 20 04:29:21 raq550 sendmail: i2K9TLq05501: ruleset=check_rcpt, arg1=<[email protected]**>, relay=**PTR [IP Address]**, reject=550 5.7.1 <[email protected]**>... Relaying denied. Please check your mail first or restart your mail session."
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
