Question

is this possible to keep Domain with godaddy and to host Web site with another provid

Hi,
I am wandering, is this possible to keep my Domain with godaddy.com and to host my Web site with another provider? Is this mandatory to transfer domain to the Web site host provider?

Thank you.

You just need to update your name servers at godaddy.

Yes it's both possible and done all the time. No, it's not mandatory (or even preferable in my view.)

I don't have any of my domain names at the web hosting providers.

It is normally cheaper that way.
Just ask your host for the name servers and update them.

It is very quite simple, anyone can really do it. You just go to Manage Nameservers (or something similar), and type in ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com - wait about 48 hours and your set. No extra $$, no nothing, just a little time.

Even less than 48 hours - normally 24 hours

I fully agree. Just to be extra safe, the registrar and the host should be different companies, so keep your domain with Godaddy and just change nameservers as instructed by your new host. For a smooth transition with minimum downtime (if any) ask the host for details.
Good luck!
