I am becoming increasly angry by all the lies and false advertising demonstrated by various merchants. My account along with several others was terminated by Paypal , I signed up with 2checkout.com within 24 hrs they terminated my account with the following reason :-
This account has been terminated. We do not support the sales of any type of X-Box items to be sold through 2Checkout.com.
They don't allow the sale of Xbox peripherals , yet I have seen copied DVD's being sold through their services and this is in their 'restricted item' category.
Having needed a new merchant relatively quickly , I noticed mypaystems was used by alot of fellow business' and seemed user friendly. I applied for the service (3.95 percent and 1 dollar processing) , and then I recieved my contract which was two percent higher and included the 1 dollar processing fee as well as a 10 percent Reserve fee! That's over 15 percent , leaving no profits , I understand that the reserve fee is important and that I will be refunded in a 6 month period , but I did not sign up for such high processing fee's and I could not see the reserve fee documented in a clear manner anywhere on the site!
However I have been searching around and am perhaps looking to apply to more 'professional' services such as worldpay and authorize.net , but being a small business I feel that their services aren't tailored to my requirements.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good merchants , who offer fair processing rates even with a small yearly or monthly charge and even include some cart software!
P.S sorry to be such a whiner on my first post, but I had to let it out
Regards , thanks in advance
P.S if any sales representatives are reading this and feel they can offer me a good service , do not hesitate to email/pm. Also does webhostingtalk have an IRC Chatroom ? I would like to make one , does anyone think this is a good idea ?
This seems like a really nice community! Props to the leaders!
Many third-party cc providers experience high levels of fraud with certain items. Providers that charge 15% service fees are probably tailoring their service towards non-tangible items, or small items. You cannot realistically use these service for selling physical goods and make a profit. I know it may be expensive, however, you may really want to try and signup with someone like worldpay, or, apply for your own merchant account. Another alternative would be to use hard-currency payment systems such as e-gold.com.
