is there anyway to allow costumers to modify their dns's on cpanel?

You can upgrade the account to a reseller account and then give them reseller [ermission to edit their DNS

I think it is better for them to contact you regarding changing their DNS so you can review the changes they want to make before they can do something dumb.

What would be the advantage? You can already add forwards, subdomains and MX records via cPanel.

Well full DNS control can be nice, ability to add A records to point at other servers, etc.
