    A new toy!

So, I have just gotten myself a new toy!

20.1" TFT LCD, doing 1600x1200 resolution max. Very bright! I have to dim it down to spare my eyes.

I am lucky that I only have one bad pixel, out of the possible 3.92 million pixels!

    So what's your new toy?

bad pixel lights up green/red/blue. So just display a black color on the monitor and you can see the bad pixel clearly. Due to its high resolution, the bad pixel becomes very-very tiny, which is even better.

About bad pixels, I heard Dell will not even let you return the monitor even if you have 10 bad pixels, since it's still very low (in percentage) compared to total pixesl you have on your monitor. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out I only have one!

    Oh Darn!

I take my words back. Seems like I just found a new cluster of bad pixels!! Quite a few of them on the upper left corner. So small, I thought they were little dust particles. Still, you can't really see them. Only if you have a black display over them and only if you really pay attention on it.

Darn, I may have to contact Dell about this ...

Ewww... bad pixels. Still nice display, and a good price.

I don't have any on my LCD.

Bad pixel's drive me insane. My old laptop had a few and try as I might I could never ignore them. As soon as I'd start to scroll my eyes were drawn right to them.

Nice size and res on thast one of yours though. I'm at 2304x864 but it takes me two monitors to do it.
