    * Free search engine optimization (SEO) for established sites.

Why this free offer? I need to obtain link credits for my new web design directory at http://all-web-designers.com -- therefore I will give out free SEO services in exchange for such a link credit.

(If your website does not meet my standards for free SEO, I can personally analyze your site and give you SEO advice for a one-time fee of US$25. "Reply" here if interested.)

Standards to qualify for free SEO:

    1. You must already be in the “top 50” of a Google SERP (Search Engine Results Page). Then I can make your website move higher in these results--for FREE.

To find out if you are in the top 50:
    • Go to http://google.com
    • Click on “Preferences.”
    • Set the “number of results” to 50. Then click on: “save preferences...”
    • Then do several searches using relevant keyphrases. Are you in the top 50 for any one of these keyphrases? Then you qualify for my free SEO service.

If you don’t know what keyphrases to use... Here is how to get keyphrase suggestions. You can “join” Google Adwords for free (do not pay the $5 fee) and just complete the “keyword suggestion tool”:
    • Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/?hl=en
    • Click on “click to begin” under “Sign up now”.
    • Continue to step 2: “Choose Keywords.” Then click on the link: “KEYWORD SUGGESTION TOOL.”
    • Use this tool as directed--then copy and paste every relevant keyphrase. Save this in a Notepad document.
    • Now you can return to http://google.com and do searches using the most relevant keyphrases for your site.

    2. If you want my free SEO service, then you must build a “link credit page” from your site to my site as follows.

This link credit page must have the title: “web designers etc.” You can link to this page invisibly from your home page by converting your copyright notice into an “invisible link” using the following HTML code. Please note this this “link credit page” will hardly be noticed your by site visitors, and is something that every site needs to give proper copyright credit for graphics, editorial work, etc.
    Copyright &copy;2004 by the operators of your-site-name.com and <a href=“web-designers-etc.htm”><font face=“black”>web designer sources</font></a>.
On this “web designers etc.” page, be sure to code the title of the page properly in the HTML header: <title>web designers etc.</title> Then include the following HTML link in the body of the page:
<a href=“http://all-web-designers.com”>All-web-designers.com</a>. Directory for web designers and web design content services.
Thank you for your interest in my free SEO service.

Please “reply” here if you have any questions!

You don't mean invisible link as in the text is the same color as the bacground, right?

doesn't hidden text risk being banned from google?

I'm in the top 5% of my keywords and was interested up until seeing that part.

You both have asked the same good question! This shows you have some understanding of "good" SEO...

What you are talking about is "INVISIBLE TEXT." This phrase refers to text being the same color as the background, thus to "load keywords" into the page. Yes, this is "wrong." Nobody who knows anything does that any more. Some SEO people advocate some "new" version of this trick---such as using JavaScript to hide text behind graphics, etc. This is all very silly. It is dangerous and has EXTREMELY LITTLE (if any) benefit in the latest Google algorithm that determilnes your placement...

I.e., for the same amount of trouble, and with no risk, there are other things that you can do to improve your search results... And so you are both right, "Just say no" to the usual so-called "invisible text..."

What I mean here by "invisible link" is simply a link that stays black---it does not turn red or blue. This is not really "invisible." This is just to make it look better. It has no effect good or bad on SEO.

What I am suggesting here is simply to say <font color="black"> inside the link. Ooops---I incorrectly said <font face="black"> ...WHT will not allow editing after 15 minutes... Well anyway, you know what I mean...

"Invisible links" can be very useful if, for example, you want to get link credit from another site---but the other site does not want to lose traffic to you. Let's say, you both sell webhosting. And so, they can make a hot link right inside the text---that nobody sees as a link. But Google will see this, and will like it. According to my school of SEO, a link that is within a text has the highest value in the Google algorithm.

So maybe we should call this a "black link" and not an "invisible link..."

Anyway: in future, I must be able to send my potential clients to your website, and to find there something to prove to them that I have done SEO for you! Nobody else is likely to know or to care that this link exists. In this way, you can give me some recognition for my free work---without interfering with the design of your website.

Please note, my link does not even say "SEO services..." This is because, I assume you do NOT want your competitors to know how you got so high in the SERPs....

Thank you both for your interest, and helping me to clarify about my "invisible link..."

p.s.---please note everyone, that (in my IE browser at least) ALL links on WebHostingTalk are what I would call "invisible links"---they are black. They do not turn blue until you hover the cursor over them...

For example, see the link to all-web-designers.com in my signature below. It is just a different style of coding that is standard in vBulletin.

Personally, I do not like this over-use of "black links." When I first started surfing vB forums, it took me several months to recognize certain links as links... But anyway, there is certainly nothing "illegal" about it so far as Google is concerned.

Thank you very much for your interest, Jeff and c3r3.

    But....

It is best if you just hit my PM button right here! Give me this information:
    • the URL of the website you want to optimize
    • Your best keyphrase (if possible).
    • What is the current total visit count for the home page?
    • How many visitors did the home page get last month?
THEN with that information "on record" here in this discussion OR in my private PM here at WHT.... then I will be glad to reply by email...

I gave up using MSN-messenger or ICQ. Life is complicated enough. The PM system here at WHT works fine---AND this leaves for me (and for you) a clear and private record of our first contact. To give this "free" service, I must be able to brag later that "I increased their SERP position from XX to X.... and I increased their web traffic from XX per month to XXXXX per month..."

    etc...

Jeff, I saw your website at http://www.pingzine.com --- obviously, this is a first class website. If you want me to optimize PingZine.com or anything similar, that's great --- just "reply" here publicly or send me a private PM...! Then I will be glad to contact you by email.

c3r3br0, I can not find any website listed in your profile. So, please hit my PM button below.... please give me the information as I say above...

General update to everyone: I will optimize any site that is in the top 100 of any relevant keyphrase (not necessarily the top 50 as I said before) OR that has a Google page rank of #5 or above.

As soon as I get a few #5 clients like PingZine.com---then this free promotion will be over. After that, I will charge $25 per site. That is still a slave wage. It takes me at least 2 full days for the necessary research and instructions. After my reputation is established, my goal is to charge $100 per site.

My SEO skills are just as good as, or better than, other SEO specialists who charge up to $100 per HOUR (not per site). I aim to prove this to you. That is the purpose of this free promotion.

Thank you all for your help.

I now have set up an SEO information site at:

Webcoolie affordable search engine optimization services (seo)

This site lists my service for $25. Currenly, my service is still free for WHT members with an established site.

Please visit my site for more information about my service. Thank you.
