    * newbie in the office

    We had a youngest (18) start this week I’m trying to think of a suitable nickname for him. His name is Eric Watson. Can't use Watty as that is already in use.
    I have thought of Flat Eric. Any more?

    Yep. For a Monty Python related name it'd either be Eric the Fish, or Eric the Half-a-Bee.

    Ask him to issue the following command

    "whoami"

    And then call him by that name

    Calling people by their first name when everyone else in the group has a nickname makes them feel left out or like an outsider.
