Change the IP a domain resolves to on Window XP?
I'm waiting for my ISP to update it's DNS servers. Is it possible to change something in windows XP so that a domain name resolves to a certain IP address?
Thanks in advance.
You could try editing the c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file
You could change your DNS servers in XP.
Go in TCP/IP properties and specify the DNS servers you want to use. You could try some of the following for example:
ORSC Public Access DNS Nameservers
why would anyone need to do such a thing?
cause he can't wait until his ISP refresh his domain's IP.
