    10060 Connection Timeout

    Hi Networking Experts

My ISP is a nightmare right now. Many of the websites I try to reach result in a 10060 Connection Timeout Error.

My ISP says this is due to a fault in the Cisco Software of a router.

How likely is this? I thought that would result in a 404 error not a 10060. Anyway...if abyone can explain this I would appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Simon

404 is an HTTP result code that is returned if the web server is reachable but the requested file does not exist.

Google says that 10060 is a Winsock error that occurs when a connection times out (i.e. the server is unavailable). Try doing a traceroute to the server and see where it dies.
