    puTTY SSH

I have this strange problem where I cannot connect to my SSH server (call it SERVER-A) from work. I say strange because I can connect to a different telnet server and then SSH to SERVER-A.

So I am thinking my work computer is blocking port 22 (outgoing).

Is there any way I can get around this?

    Thanks a lot!

set up your server to listen to ssh using the telnet port maybe...
    ...check your sshd config file.

I had the same problem at my work. They allow telnet (Port 23) but not ssh (Port 22).

As hostito mentioned, edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config and change Port to 23.

Make sure it's sshd_config and not ssh_config ... it will save you MANY headaches. I'm not speaking from experience or anything ... ummm ... a friend had that problem.
