    Whats your temperature? Howto check and post

    I'm a little concerned about the temperature of one of drives running > 40 celcius.

    For cPanel users:

    /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/smartctl -a /dev/hda | grep Temperature

    (Please post the results)

    For non cPanel users download smartmon tools are run the smartctl -a /dev/hda command:

    Thanks Matt,

    What type of drives do you run?

    All of your drives are consistently 30c? What type of load do the servers handle?

    secondary: 40C

    {medium use}
    primary: 33C
    secondary: 36C

    The Maxtor drive is incredible, I just had that drive put in a little over a week ago. Since that the average load has gone from .8 - .9 to .25 - .5 on that box.

    I'm loving these drives. I got them just a bit after they were discontinued. They have 8MB cache, unlike the BBs that have 2MB cache.
