it's about time companies come together and work together in helping and hopefully preventing the increasing number of spam messages. Now, maybe as 1 team they will be abl to help the Internet.

Just sad that it's all U.S. Based companies helping. Doesn't anyone else care?

Rob not all companys have money like that to throw around.

I think this is a good thing, but it probably won't work. doesn't matter the huge amount of money that is going to go into this lawsuit.

But at least its a (first) step in the right direction... time will tell.

    Best,

Who said anything about money? If more international companies helped (even by giving $100,000 USD), it would make it a world-wide issue and not just a "National Issue".

    And $100,000 is not money?
    I'm sorry I don't see your point.

So if more companys join the lawsuit, it will be taken to an international court and what good will that do? it will only make it harder for them to win.

I really doubt if this will actually work if it will however, I'm sure they will move on to a larger scale.

Deceptive solicitations for a variety of products including get-rich-quick schemes, prescription drugs, pornography, instructions for conducting spam campaigns, banned CDs, mortgage loans, university diplomas, cable descramblers and other common types of unsolicited e-mail
If this lawsuit is successful and they're going after the ones I think that they are, spam in my inbox will be reduced by 75%.

$100,000 dollars is NOT money when you are paying millions and billions of dollars a year to prevent spam as an ISP.

No. who said anything about an international Court? What I am saying is if more international companies come together, more countries may start to implement stronger spam laws.

No point in the U.S. fighting Spam if China si the one allowing their people to spam.
