Yaxay should be grateful for the compliment.

But they should take that site down.

I love how they thing by having a disclaimer on their main page that they are safe from being prosecuted.

I reported them to vBulletin. Current version of vBulletin is 2.3.4 they use 2.3.0. That doesn't mean that they ARE pirating but the fact they steal designs is a big giveaway.

Well if that isn't a dead giveaway like you said, then this is

    Piracy, and Warez
as this is a warez site there are no rules about this other then post working links and let people know if there is or is a possibility of a virus thats all we ask.

Being a good samaritan reporting them eh?

    Question though....

What does the version numbers have to do with it? All versions of VB are in the warez scene.

Huh? Our support forums still use 2.2.9, but that's only because I dont wanna mess up my admin hacks... but it is most certainly a legit licensed version.

Never said it means they pirate. As I stated the forum version isn't a big issue, the fact that the steal designs is a good giveaway, no harm in reporting since the links are auto-checked by vBulletins database and if a link doesn't match it is checked manually. (I believe) Usually most users will use an old version as the newer versions are harder to find.

Well any site will remain up till somebody does something about it.

Hosted at NAC im sure if INet want to make the effort it'll be pulled down pretty quick.

Loon let me rewrite my Q: why didn't anybody do anything about it yet?

I'm sure iNET is not happy about it, I thought this site will go down in hours, its been up for over two days now I think.

    just strange.

well thats a bit of a sweeping statement and although it may look on the surfice to be a good way of telling if a board is pirated it isnt really, when i had a board all i did was keep up with the security patches and not upgrade due to the effort of redoing all the hacks and stuff it really was a pain.

and i know of at least one forum that still uses vb ver 1 something or other.

I'm pretty sure I read about this yaxay rip weeks/months ago... I'm surprised nothing has been done about it. Yaxay is a unique design, and wasn't sold to multiple people by Ravio or whoever it was that designed it, right?

Again, if you read correctly I said that the board being a lower version is not always the best way to check. It's the content of the website that brings to mind piracy (Warez, ripped content, etc).

On a side note of Yaxay, one of the main reasons I haven't been a member of there (I've registered once.) is because of the design, It's slow and ugly (IMO) and i'm on broadband.
