    Cheap Backup server needed

    I'm looking for a dedicated server for backing up some websites.

    P III/Celeron/Duron cpu (1 GhZ wil be ok )

    40 - 60 Gb disk

    100G+ Montly transfere

    10Mbit nic

    Monthly contracts

    Payable trough paypal

    No setup.

    Max US$ 50 /month

    thanks .. checking out nocster right now i already got a server with managed but i want another provider besides em .


    Any other company wich can provide what i need ???

    If the server is just for backup, you may consider an external backup solution, like the one provided by tranxactglobal. Cheaper and better than having a dedicated server just to store data (unless you need rsync or something like that)

    ok i did give tranxactglobal a try but now it has been about 2 days since i signed up but so far i haven't got any info about ip ,login and stuff .. how long time should it take to set up a 10 gig backup ??

    Open a trouble ticket requesting an estimated time for login information, so you can know in what step your request is.

    Yes im looking for a good place to backup my data too also.

    Any recommendations ? Real experiences you wish to tell everyone ?

    i have opend a ticke but no answer .. Hope they answer soon casue i need that backup space i orderd

    Look in the "Advertising Forums" there is a few vendors with sub $50 servers that meet or exceed what your looking for. And also be sure to use the "Host Quote" form if you want quotes from many of the vendors on this board.

    The only thing one should do when selecting backup host is to sunchronize one's backup schedule with their uptime.

    i have a server at managed.com wich are used for testing and backup and i haven't had any problems with that server at all except from a little downtime .
