All out mails from my dedicated server go to Bulk folder in yahoo box. I notice the yahoo account has SpamGuard turned on. However, I try to send email from hotmail to that account, the mail goes to inbox. But if I send email from my dedicated server, the mail goes to Bulk. Anyone know why? How to fix this?
Click on "This is Not Spam" on the top of your message in the Yahoo! Folder.
Also, check to make sure that you have Reverse DNS added on your Mail Servers, companies like AOL will not accept mail from companies that do not have the Reverse DNS added in, Yahoo! wil accept it but put it in the Spam folder untill you tell it otherwise.
The report say that I don't have reverse DNS setup.
Reverse DNS entries for MX records ERROR: The IP of one or more of your mail server(s) have no reverse DNS (PTR) entries (if you see "Timeout" below, it may mean that your DNS servers did not respond fast enough). RFC1912 2.1 says you should have a reverse DNS for all your mail servers. It is strongly urged that you have them, as many mailservers will not accept mail from mailservers with no reverse DNS entry. You can double-check using the 'Reverse DNS Lookup' tool at the DNSstuff site. The problem MX records are:
126.96.36.199.in-addr.arpa [No reverse DNS entry (rcode: 3 ancount: 0)]
Mail FAIL Connect to mail servers ERROR: I could not complete a connection to any of your mailservers!
site194.123vn.com: Timed out [Last data sent: RCPT TO: ]
If this is a timeout problem, note that the DNS report only waits about 30 seconds for responses, so your mail may work fine in this case but you will need to use testing tools specifically designed for such situations.
In my case is abit differnt. On my dedicated server, I setup a domain, let say mydomain.com and change the MX record to site194.123vn.com to handle the all mails there. However, my PHP script using send mails using 1 of the addresses on site194.123vn.com as From.
Will I be able to fix this problem?
