Exclamation Hurricane Networks is stealing my content and imagery!

I was recently notified by email that Hurricane Networks has stolen my web sites content and imagery. An email has been sent to them warning them they are not authorized to use my content and that what they're doing is forbidden.

Their website is located at: http://hurricane-networks.com/servers.htm

    My website is located at:
    http://www.towerhost.com/hosting/reseller.php

They have also stolen all of my pre-sales questions!
    http://www.towerhost.com/support/presales.php

    Copy of mine
    http://hurricane-networks.com/Support/cp.htm

Look, they even didn't take the time to remove my COMPANIES NAME IN THE Q & A!
    7. How fast is your network connection?
We use multiple bandwidth providers to ensure our servers are fast. Tower Host is connected to a 8 GIG redundant network for superior speed.

I've very upset that someone would steal an EXACT COPY of my companies content, especially for a small hosting website like theirs.

I've sent notice warning them of the offence but what else can be done?

They will get in trouble for hosting it from their cable. Comcast doesn't allow web servers like most cable comapnies.
Don't look for a way out.

Most cable companies do not allow web servers. Cox doesn't, Qwest doesn't, and Charter doesn't either. Unless of course you pay for business lines.

I have contacted Comcast abuse and the site will be down in a few moments according to the abuse team.

Thanks for all the help everyone, hopefully their site will get taken down soon, I've contacted the Comcast abuse department.

Right off the Comcast Terms of Service Abuse page:
    http://www.comcast.net/terms/abuse.jsp

"Bandwidth, Data Storage and Other limitations - Use of the Comcast network infrastructure in a manner that (i) exceeds the then current bandwidth, data storage or other limitations on the Comcast High-Speed Internet service or (ii) puts an excessive burden on the limitations of the network. Examples include: Using the Comcast network to run a Web-hosting server or any other commercial enterprise. "

I hope they have someone awake at that department.

Well the abuse team said the site would be shut down within a few moments, however I feel that their idea of "a few moments" is quite larger then mine.

What's their number? Maybe a few of us should "nudge" them to do the right thing.

As far as I know, Comcast DOES allow you to host a PERSONAL/non commercial web server to be used for testing purpouses =]

This site is being used for commerical purposes, not personal. And he is in violation of copyright laws.

Stupid recorded messages. Took me 6 or 7 minutes before I realized every option leads me to a prerecording and not a live operator.

Sent them an email, anyways. Will send one every hour or so until I go to sleep.

Hmm. If 57,000 WHT members do the same, I wonder how long before that site is taken down?

Personally, even if I didn't know this guy was hosting this on his cable modem, I still wouldn't buy from him simply because of the horrible grammar - "ISP Provider" - Internet Service Provider Provider? The constant use of threw instead of through - and 100 other things.

I don't claim to be a perfectionist or a grammar nazi, but I don't buy from places that don't seem professional.

Let me get this straight, they flat out stole copyrighted material from TowerHost.

Then they violated Comcast AUP, for using their services for commercial use.

Then, they can't even use words in a sentence correctly.

I take it they are gone for good, plus a nice fine.$$

Site is still up for me. You might need to serve Comcast with a C&D per the DMCA; they can be held liable for copyright violations hosted on their network.

Quite old perhaps, but the site in question still has the references to Tower Host in their FAQ answers.....

    Frickin' morons.
