There are many to choose from, it depends on what features are most important to you and your users.
I would need a lot more information to make a good recommendation. What is the main objective of the site being #1.Sitekeeper

www.neowin.net uses some pretty cool software. Virtual News I think it is called. Do a search on google for it

If you can develop Php scripts i would recommend you INDEXU , not like what you mentioned but it's a good link indexing software and after development you can make it look better and easily add thousands of features...
