Qoogle.com
I did a quick search on WHT and didn't see a thread, so don't kill me if you've seen this.
But I recently saw this.
Apparently somebody owns qoogle.com and Google Inc doesn't like it.
http://qoogle.com (When its a link you can't even tell the difference between that and http://google.com)
Anyway, while I was searching I found that http://www.wcws.net/ is related to qoogle.com
I personally think this is stupid and just a publicity stunt. If google is smart they will drop their charges because I'd hate to see this guy (http://www.wcws.net/) or (http://qoogle.com) suceed in getting noticed.

More power too them (Google). There are too many people think they have a right to use other peoples trademarks, copyrights and IP because of the "free" nature of the internet. Google shouldn't have to register every domain similar to it's name to prevent people from using it's trademark for their own gain.

Well, qoogle only has the same name, but is different. Booble completely ripped their design.

Qooqle did return quite good result, but took at least 4x longer to load than Google.
It is essentially piggy-backing on someone else's name, its ethically wrong.MattF - Since the start..

I know its wrong, but its gets to the point where I'd hate to see Qoogle suceed in what they've been trying to acheive (Traffic and Such by the Media/Press). The law should really find a better way to deal with these things.

Another big typo was if you go to www.hotmial.com it would take you to a lookalike hotmail page that when you tried to sign in, would record your user/pass, sign you up for porn in your email, and send you to the invalid password page at hotmail.com making you log in for real.

Reading their forum is great, I especially love this one:
It's just ridiculous how greedy people are becoming, looking for any little reason to sue. "Oh no I spilled hot coffee on my lap while I was driving! I'm gonna sue because they didn't tell my my coffee was going to be HOT!" "Oh no, I have a horrible diet and don't know how to control my binge eating, it must be McDonald's fault that I'm obese! I'm gonna sue!!" "Oh no, people are using KaZaA to download music and make mix CDs, instead of going out and buying CDs of one hit wonders, so let's sue little kids for 150K a song."
I realize this case is a bit different, but on the obsurdity scale from 1-10, Google has achieved a solid 11. How much damage could Qoogle.com possibly be doing to Google.com? Anyone...? ...Anyone? That's what I thought. Slim to none. It's just Google, Inc's contribution to the idiots of America clogging up our legal system with more trivial law suits.* Best Web Hosting - Submit your host to our directory and become one of our top 10 web hosts.

It's odd how they completely ignore the previously-stated fact that Google has to take action, regardless of whether or not they want to.

Happens about 10 times a day here at WHT Dan.
People would rather put down the company than learn the facts.

This one is a hard one. The only reason I am going to think that Google should take action is because Qoogle is a search engine.

I think that Google should take action...
1) Exact same industry (search engine)
2) Name looks exactly the same when made as a hyperlink
3) (Probably) created after Google
- Intended to get publicity by ripping off the name

Google has to sue if they want to protect their name. If they don't do it now then there will be high chances that they won't win the next one.
