A British Lad Looking For Job In USA

    Hello,

I was wondering what sort of job with a few qualifications can get you working in the usa. I see british people wont get a work permit unless they have a job lined up and get some sort of reference from the employer.

Can anyone help me out as i will probably no longer be in college after this summer and i dont mind what part of usa hopefully near a beach ( Dont mind really where it is)

Im hoping to stay in the states for at least 6 months and if i enjoy it as much maybe even a year or two. I can even stay longer so any job will be a great help. I need it after maybe August.

I know the work permit is a big issue, but if i can be assured in a job then im hoping it works out.

    Cheers

I believe a potenial employer has to list the job locally for 6 months and not fill it due to not having someone with the right requirements and qualifications apply before it can be given to a foreign worker. Something along those lines anway. It is very possible you could get work in the US but dont count on it. I think there are some people here who have employed British staff, maybe they will answer.

Ah i see, any help would be great. I just been offered a sort of football coaching role in New Jersey, but im hoping i can maybe get a job with it or maybe even a new permenant job overall but its hard finding one with the problems with work permit.

Any more ideas would be great, as i really need to get over to the USA at maybe spring time next year or even sooner.

You could try switching to a US university. I think you can get a permit to work then on Campus. Plus you can stay until you finish school. You would need to look into it further though as I am no expert on this subject.

Without a degree and little experience you will find it hard to get sponsorship for employment although anything is possible it is highly unlikely.

I'm sorry, the USA is currently closed. Please try again later.
I thank my Lord for all His wonderful blessings.
