    Calling a .php script into a html table

    I do hope that my subject line actually makes sense.
    OK, hope somebody can help me out here - unless I'm asking the impossible.

    Right, I'm doing some work on redesigning my site and I'd like to add a search feature.
    I've found a program called "Zoom Search Engine" and I think it will work well for me.

    The script is on my site at the following URL:

    The script is working.
    At the following URL:

    Is a mock-up of the new layout I'm attempting to use for my site.
    You'll see a small "box" on the left side of the screen which has the title "Site Search" at the moment.

    What I'd really like to do is call the script located at into that box.
    So it would be an HTML page but that box would be the gateway to my search - the results would be returned on a seperate page but I'd like the initial gateway to the search to be that box.

    Does that make any kind of sense at all?
    If so, can anybody point me in the right direction on what I need to do?
    Yer, my skills are lacking

    Thanks in advance.

    Yes. You don't actually call the script; you provide a form which instructs the visitor's browser to call the script when a search is requested. You can take the form HTML from the script's page:

    <form method="GET" action="/search/search.php">
    <p>Search for: <input type="text" name="zoom_query" size="20" value="">
    <input type="submit" value="Submit">
    <small>Results per page:
    <select name='zoom_per_page'><option selected="selected">10</option><option>20</option><option>50</option><option>100</option></select></small></p>
    <input type="radio" name="zoom_and" value="0" checked>any search words
    <input type="radio" name="zoom_and" value="1">all search words
    Hope this helps

    Take everything in the form on the search page and put it in the search box on your main page. That shouldn't be that hard.

    Thank you very much!
    Just done a quick test and the page is working fine - just need to do some fine tuning on the formatting so the boxes don't get enlarged.

    Thanks again for your time and help.
