    mediatemple ripoff

I didn't know whether to post this or not, but since I have alot of respect for mediatemple, and I also like their site, I though I would.

Radical Vision's logo/dropdown menu are a complete ripoff of mediatemple.

If anyone from Radical Vision come to this forum, and they have permission from mediatemple, feel free to correct me.

    Thanks.

I wouldn't call it a rip, I would call it more of an inspiration

I don't know what you are stressing about.

I'm sure MediaTemplate didn't come up with the idea of a gradient menu bar with lines in between the items. I don't see why having ( ) around the initials is is 'ripping'. Just my opinion.
Don't look for a way out.

I normally dont say anything but this comes up every few months....

1.) We have been using the 3-D (rv) logo for a while now. It was developed in Lightwave for a commercial.

2.) The drop downs are a free script that you can download and use here. We use CSS to tweak it....

    Thank you.

Ok, my mistake I've seen a few menus like this, I don't know if Media Temple made theirs, but the ones I've seen have the exact same background/font/everything as theirs, so yeh, I didn't know.

Additionally, MT's is a Flash menu. RV's is not. Not a rip at all.

Many people use similar menus written in dhtml. Our upcoming redesign will use the same.

Hey radv, do you know where this can be downloaded from? I can get to the above site but I don't see anything for downloading the script. Unless I'm missing something...

Ack! Never mind, I had to actually click on something (projects) to get there. Go figure!

Their menu used to be in pure HTML, they updated to flash now.
