We had a managed.com server through a reseller. We ran 2 Battlefield 1942 game servers on it, 2x32 ppl (Redhat 9.0 OS, 1 gig of ram on a 2.4 ghz processor). It ran without a problem until our "reseller" forgot to pay the bill and we lost it. So, we dropped the "reseller" and went to the source.
That's another nightmare. We submitted a payment, which they claim was not received. We submitted a second payment, and it was received. However, we still have not got the server and that was a week and a half ago. I filed a claim against them at paypal for the first payment, and I'm about to do the same for the second. One of our members is going to call them tomorrow (called on friday, no answer). I'll let you know how it goes.
Any suggestions on what to do next, before I file a claim..
Managed.com is simply a nightmare. Why anybody would go with them is beyond me. Their own page comes up slow (when it does come up that is) and all you hear are complaints. Just go with servermatrix or one of the other low-budget providers.
Managed.com are REALLY slow to get servers up. Took me 10 days to get a server online with them, but once done I havent had any problems since - mainly because the box works and I havent needed to contact them

Well on a positive note, my server went down yesterday for some reason. I emailed their support with a reboot request and they responded less than 2 minutes later with an email saying they had rebooted it and sure enough my server was back online. Wow!
