How often do you re-design your site?

How often do you completely or majorly redesign your hosting site to give it a new look? I'm on my 3rd major redisign it about 4 years.

Yup, about that often. I'm never happy with it. Although, this is the best I think we've looked and there isn't really anything I'd change right now. Then again, we just got this new design about 3 months ago.

We do it every year to have something as we feel it is important, because it's our storefront/salesman.

Complete re-designs are probably once over year or two. I am always tweaking them however making minor changes such as color, image pool, etc.

I am never 100% happy with the designs as there is always something that sticks out. Once I fix it, I usually find something else in the process.

I hardly ever redesign as it takes time and is not particularly useful. I do add content and tweak things at apparently random intervals :-)

In the case of a new product release, usually a page is put together for that and then the home page is spruced up a bit.

I personally like to stick with technical stuff and only work on the website itself when there is no other choice but to update something.

About once a year I do a major re-design but at the moment I'm just adding my colour and images to the current design.

Play with the CSS a little to change link colours etc - stops me feeling bored looking at it.

We re-design about every 6 months or so. Just can't seem to get a site that we really like I guess.

About every 12 months here... whenever we decide that that the old site has become boring or we need to add new features to the site that won't work with the current design.

I usually update the design of my corporate site whenever I have the time on my hands to play around with and learn new techniques etc.

Very rarely re-design my services sites as they take too long to redo.

I think I will update the site every month and redesign of site take time even when we hire other to do it so I perfer to spend time on other stuff unless the website look "bored".

    Hi!

Sorry, when I mean "update" in my last post mean update the content not the layout.

There's been three totally different designs in the past three years. The latest one will be staying for some time I think because it does the job and has received quite a few good comments. There's always room for tweaks here and there though.

I usually end up changing the design like twenty times a month. I just got a new one and I think it sucks already.

all of my sites I own/run I would say a redesign happens about once every 7-10 months.

things change so much you have to keep up, which sometimes means insteat up updating the site, just give it a whole overhual.

i redesign every about 10 months, my 4th layout online now since 20 days only, i decided to get a brand look in the current design so i can keep changing but within same atmosphere
