many hosts have fast connections, but they might go slower because os strain on the server, and then they might be able to get a page to someone in lets say Chicago in a few seconds but that same page to someone in Germany may take a minute to load

There is a lot of factors that effect performance:

    1. The actual bandwidth to the server

    2. The load on the web server

    3. The routing through the internet
    between someone and a server.

The first is how much bandwidth
the server has. Do they have a huge
OC48 or a worthless cable modem, etc.?

The second is how many web sites do
they host on each server? Too many
web sites per server can cause huge
    performance slowdowns.

The third is one that most people don't
think about. The internet is made up
of many different networks that have
    varying speeds all throughout.
    Depending on where your connection
routes through to get to a server,
your perception of a server's performance may be totally different
that someone else viewing the same
site. Routing problems on the open internet can even make some sites appear to be down to you that are actually online and visible by many
    other people.

Now with that said, you want to look
for a host that has a high amount of
bandwidth, keeps a low site ratio
on the server, and is positioned on
    multiple backbones to provide alternate
routes to the server from different
    locations on the internet.

    Thanks for the reply banana.
I think i will go for a dedicated Server so the web server will not be overloaded.

    That is insightful.
How would someone begin to find out about these things?

Then get a host from Europe

But normally Europe hosting is more expensive than US.

What are the differences between a dedicated server hosting and nondedicated server hosting?

    What are the advantages?

Dedicated = you get full server resources. not shared.

shared hosting = server resources are shared by all hosting users.

Therefore generally you get better respond time for having dedicated server.

    Thanks UltraUnixNET!

What does this mean in terms of reselling domains?
Are there limitations as to how I divide up my data transfer, storage space, and number of domains available?

Most hosts in Europe have there servers in the usa so i dont think i will need one in europe.
i was thinking to go for ev1servers.net i think they are the fastest but i am not sure.
