What P2P programs should we avoid for the safety of our PC?

I'm just curious, but has anybody had problems with any P2P programs? Which ones should we avoid, and which are safe?

I just use soulseek and bittorrent. Both are pretty good. None of the kazaa junkware and viruses here there and everywhere either.

On a business computer? All of them. For a computer with nothing you need to secure.. well, whichever one you like I suppose.

kazaa is completely spyware / adware infested, and once installed only a complete format will get rid of all the junk it leaves behind. NEVER install Kazaa, go with something else or try to get Kazaa Lite if you really insist on using Kazaa

Kazaa Lite is usable. Recently when someone at work had problems with email, we used it to transfer a large map.

Never heard of it, is it any good?

Also, why dont you put 'The Dude ' in your signature instead of always typing it in manually?

Why is that every time somebody mentions P2P somebody always has to ask the question, 'What do you use P2P for?'. Maybe he shares legit files, or maybe he downloads porn or maybe he wants to download Windows XP Pro, is it any business of yours

And what's your problem if we ask the questions? ( even silly ones ) Btw I asked coz. if he just wants to transfer file from one place to another then there are better programs for the purpose and I could suggest some.

hay, calm down everybody. i dont find this a silly topic at all, everyday i deal with alot of clients who ask me the same thing, so yeah i tell them to stay away from Kazaa and WinMx, but i really would like to know if eMule or eDonkey are any better?
