I'm sorry - as much as I didn't like how VeriSign took over the search pages, I highly doubt a few or more internet signatures will get them shut down. I mean, look at Microsoft - there are many people who dislike the company, and there have been petitions in the past, but nothing will happen, because in the end they are only petitions.
At best they're business operations will change but I can guarantee you they will not be 'shut down'

In my opinion these online petitions do nothing. There are so many of these petitions that are trying to accomplish goals, these digital signatures, even 100,000's wont do anything.
Don't look for a way out.

yeah but it's sponsored by GoDaddy and Enom and ICANN is suining NetSol saying that they scam customers and often deny access to customers domains for transfers. So far the lawsuit is in favor of Icann and they are requesting NetSol lose access to the .com and .net namespace.

The topic is misleading.
Just because several petitions are going on, doesnt mean Verisign will be removed. Infact they probably wont.Matt Wallis

Although I'm against SiteFinder (Everyone who registers domain names should be), I want WLS. Its to difficult to compete with the big guys these days. At least with WLS, the small guys can win too.

Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

although this topic was somewhat mis-leading.. it's important news..
I think the lawsuit voices legitimate concerns.. and I'm not sure any of us would be very happy if Verisign were to have it's way with the SiteFinder and any other plans they may have/had.

People think they can get a few people to type their name, and bring a huge company down for really, they didn't pose a threat to me, or am I missing something.

I think this thread should be dump. Not that I'm with VS but is just naive to believe in such things. Of course, i do hope I'm wrong and VS get dump instead.
