lost 3 domains from our ETP eNom account to registerfly ?!?!?
i've lost 3 of my customer's domains today being transferred to registerfly from my main ETP account!
all domains has no password set + REGISTRAR-LOCK was ON and no emails sent to our hostmaster email !!
how the hell this is possible! i've opened a ticket with enom but i know its weekend and will have to wait till monday.
but this is totally unacceptable, i have so many valuable domains and this would risk my other domains!
anyone ever had such thing ?!
You sure it is not an enom bug?
what enom bug ?
domains are transferred and got renewed for 1 year and all whois info changed
even the header says:
egistration Service Provided By: RegisterFly.com
Contact: [email protected]
You might need to contact
I think they handle these type of issues for enom [email protected]
Also go get in contact with registerfly!
(change your password)
to clarify, was domain ownership info changed?
If domain ownership info was not changed, have it transferred back to eNom immediately.

Which do you mean by this "hostmaster", your customer or you(Bashar)?

the whois info was all mine and i never got any emails.
i emailed registerfly support and proved that domains transferred fraudulently they pushed them ack to my enom account!
now waiting for eNom to confirm how this happened.
i doubt it was an access to our enom account otherwise other important domains would be lost also!
What a horrible story this is!
I wonder who paid the transferred fee for 1 year.
RegisterFly might possibly know that (accountID and IPaddress).
I am satisfied with eNom except security.
I just want eNom to be securer. "Security,Security,Security"
let us know what enom has to say about this

as per registerfly's email they are asking for a refund from enom.
tomorrow i will know what will happen exactly.
Very strange.... So you say you have not approved the transfer and it still went through?
keep us up to date bashar, that is very worrisome.
i never got the transfer request to approve/decline !
i think there is someway to transfer domains away from enom without confirmation, some people were complaining in the old days.
but forget enom's system, say its avoidable BUT how did he avoid the REGISTRAR-LOCK and transferred it from enom to enom ?
it was 100% transferred not pushed because the domains got renewed for 1 more year and registerfly support confirmed it was registrar transfer not eNom push!
hopefully enom have full explination for this like log for the whole process.
someone PM'ed me asking how this ended, as enom showed me logs seems the domains had password set not empty pass since enom changed and its not possible to have empty passwords anymore so the user logged in with the pasword and changed the admin email and moved the domains
Which is "ok" since they should be allowed to transfer right?
yeah but not the customer, it was the one who hacked his hotmail account and used the same pass to update the whois and steal them again.
Maybe I'm confused (and I'm not trying to beat a dead Horse) but I thought that your customer initiated the transfer to RF so how can they steal something that is theirs? I agree how it came about was probably sneeky but in the end the customer never lost the domains...correct?
no the customer contacted me saying someone stole his domains and i've contacted RF and they pushed the domains back to me when i proved it was stolen.
the customer is back to me now
Lemme see if I got this...
This was just a sneaky attempt (and a total lie about them being stolen?) by the customer to try to get control of these domains from you?
1- customer got his password compromised
2- the hacker used the same pass to access the domains from access.enom.com
3- it worked
4- hacker changed whois info and transferred them to registerfly
5- contacted registerfly and proved they were stolen
6- returned the domains back to me
7- my customer has nothing todo with it
Bashar, a stupid question but how do you prove they were stolen ?
go complain to icann and tell the person who transfered 'em ya did

i used whois.sc history whois lookup and gave the link to registerfly support
Oh nice idea.. I was thinking to print any domain registration but it could be a lot of paper if you have customers
printing would be nice idea but could be faked dont you think?
instead of printing you can always whois a domain and save the text somewhere, but it depends if the gaining registrar would trust this info or not.
Right because a saved whois could be faked too
Or you have to store it with a trusted website... Hmm... Wait a minute, it's almost like whois.sc history
yeah almost, but seems whois.sc have good reputation which maes others trust them
