    Who else besides ServerMatrix?

Who else in the market of dedicated providers can be comparable to ServerMatrix in terms of uplink/network/support/prices?

    Thanks

I'm not sure those compare in anything other than price.

managed.com certainly doesn't compare in network or support.... not even close.

I dunno about nocster, never had a box there.

take a read around the forums please or even better become customer. You will notice their support is excellent now, better then SM in many cases. Yes they have had a two small outages in the last two days, after 100% uptime for over a month. Of course SM never have any outages

Oh come on, managed is down right now and Nocster has plenty of their own problems. You can't compare either one to ServerMatirx.

For a Dedicated that has great Support and uptime try ServInt

If you want a totally unmanaged Dedicated on a stable Network give EV1 a shout...

Ev1 - uplink/network - about the same and very stable, support - better than SM, prices - higher. ALSO: instant setup, no custom partioning, hidden taxes

Nocster - uplink/network - not that good as SM one (don'g forget about the last probs they had with Scranton DC), support - much better, prices - a bit higher. ALSO: nice specials, you can get SCSI drive without going for higher plan, no good members area.

can't say about others as i have boxes only with these two and SM.

I don't have experience with other host besides theplanet and nocster, still have 2 servers with nocster for more than 1 year, and they're terrible recently. The planet (servermaxtrix) is still my first pick, i just want to look else where 'cause i don't want to have 'all eggs in one bag' you know what i'm saying?
But so far, no luck yet

Thanks guys for the input, i'll do research on other companies, and trying to stay from nocster

Just because SM has a low price doesnt mean it cant compare with many of the other high priced providers out there. If they wanted to they could rasie their prices by 50% or more and still be a great value.

Having had server with managed.com and now currently with servermatrix.com i wouldnt even consider them in the same league.

I've heard lots about ezzi and noctser packet loss - and although i havent experienced it, ive never personally seen a packet get lost when testing theplanet's network.

They are also blacklisted to hell and back, for those who care about such things, with 26 current SBL listings.

I was a customer, and trust me I will never go back to managed. I have had no downtime since i have been with SM, can you say that about managed?

I was with managed.com for one month and had more downtime then the 2 years I was with EV1 and certainly more then I have had with ServerMatrix. Take a quick browse through the network outages forum and I think you'll see that the two are not in the same league.

id have to agree with that and also ask that if you feel managed.com has as good as or better support then servermatrix do me a favor and open a trouble ticket late friday night see how long it takes to be answered, as they dont have weekend support. Not dissing managed.com as I have a server there but they are not in servermatrix's class as far as network support reliablility.

Huh? Its not managed.com's fault??? If AboveNET go down then its AboveNET's fault surprisingly. They are getting more carriers asap, but it takes time to lay fibre and get it ready

Well if you don't mind up in Canada, my friend works for Netelligent.ca out of Montreal. They peer at Peer1 Networks and have gooooood service.

If you're doing gaming, anything on PEER1 is definetly a bonus!
