    disable htpasswds

I am using CPanel and would like to disable the cpanel htpasswds functionality so I can set up htpasswds in the htaccess files. When I set up passwords using .htaccess and my own .htpasswd file, it works, but for some reason I always have to enter the login information twice. I assume this is due to the cpanel .htpasswds folder.

    Any thoughts?

I had that issue a while back. I'm positive there is an answer to it (I'd tell you but I forgot) on http://forums.cpanel.net

Usually the problem is coming up with the right search terms. I'll give "disable htpasswds" a try.

Nope, thre is no thread that I could find explaining how to disable cpanel's own .htpasswdS functionality that is screwing up my own .htpasswd access.
