i signed up for fastandfurious's (fna) monthly special that i found from this site, and so far i'm happy.
i talked to their aim representative right after signing up, and asked for a temporary url so i could begin uploading files and was given one without hesitation. when i asked if my site could be configured to parse html files as shtml, it was done right away.
i uploaded all my files over a 56k conn, so i can't vouch very well for their ul speed. if you want to try testing their dl speed by timing pages on my site, i'm flii.us.
your ftp doesn't count against your bandwidth, and though it doesn't specifically say so on their site, they have access support (you get 5 dbs). i'll include part of my convos with their rep at the bottom.
they use smartstats.
i didn't see a temporary url anywhere in their sign up emails, so it might be something you have to ask for.
setting my site up (on their end) wasn't instant, but it was done within 15 minutes i think (sorry, i didn't time it ). i don't know how long most sites take, so i don't know if this is good or not.
their control panel kind of stinks, because it doesn't give you control over diddly squat. if this means anything to you, it's Helm Version 3.1.13. you get control over your personal details, a view of your bandwidth and disk usage, and not much else. so far, this is the worst thing about fna, so i'm not doing too bad. i can live without a good control panel for $3 a month.

it's been pointed out to me that i had to go a couple levels deeper into the control panel to get to any of the common things. i'm not overly impressed, but it's much more than i thought there was originally, and i admit it's decent enough.
too bad i didn't find this out within 15 minutes, so i could have changed my previous post.
