    Post Your Business Card

I haven't seen this done here in my time, I think it would be awesome to look at other peoples designs and compare them, etc.

(Preferebly post a picture of the card, rather than a JPEG\GIF)

  2. #2
Do you mean post a picture of the card from a camera rather than the original design?

yes, but if the only thing you have handy is the JPEG feel free to post, I just said that because some people are worried about rips, etc and with an angled picture there is no way a rip could happen (unless the rippers were really determined)

Well there's nothing special about mine, just clean and to the point. If someone really wants to steal it they wouldn't have a hard time.. lol

Yeah, I'd like to see others cards as well. If you could please post your PSD proofs, I'd appreciate it.

I'm looking for... ummm... ideas (Yeah, that's it!) to replace my existing cards. For some reason people don't think I'm a serious consultant when I hand out coffee-stained cocktail napkins with my info on one side and "Joe's Cafe: Eat here - Get Gas" on the other *shrug*.

Do you really need PSD's to get ideas? That sounds a little suspicious to me

It was a joke silly! Actually, I'd love to post a shot of my card, but the digicam is out in an RMA. Though maybe I wouldn't post it even if it worked - they are the gaudy "Look at me!" type of cards... They look like credit cards, my name's imprinted upon them like you'd normally see and they have a smart chip & mag strip on em.

But they do the trick. I dunno, something's ingrained in people - if you mail them a business card, there's a good chance they'll throw it away. If you mail them a hard plastic business card that looks for all intents and purposes like a credit card, they keep em - and use em.

(That's actually one of 2 sets of cards I have - they both look the same, only one is a plastic CC looking one and the other a more normal one)

Trifolic: Nice design. It does get the point across. How many pixels are these business cards done? I might make one in Paint and send it here.

Mines at 300DPI, but you can get away with 72DPI if its a quality printer. If you need something simple let me know I can hook ya up.

Mine is still in the works. I posted samples in the review forum. VistaPrint is a good choice if you would like business cards.

Designed it myself using Photoshop, and they were printed by VistaPrint.

Nice design. We are in the process of having some redone since we need to order up a few more for a couple of folks.

Been toying with the idea of a flashy card, but think subtle would be the best thing for us.

Thanks for posting - to everyone

    Mine's attached.

It isn't confirmed as my new one yet, but it's probably close.

The border won't be on the card, it's just for demo purposes.

Here's the version 2 of our card...you really need to see the real card to do any justice to the design

BTW, the two holes you see are actually "punch card" holes, works great in separating your business card(and business) from tens of others who may have also given their cards to a potential client.

Whoa, you could put a string through it and use it as a necklace too!

    Hi Simon,

Great logo. I remember seeing that in an online portfolio. Who is the designer?

Madtown is great.... although the last 2 days have been kind of sad... the search teams and cadaver dogs have been searching the woods around our house for a lady who is missing.
If you get up to Madison, give me a call, you have my business card We can grab lunch and chat.

I'm in Minneapolis but I had a buddy that went to UW-Madison...I visited for their Halloween bash back in 89. WOW some party! It was wild people everywhere doing everything! That's my memory (of what I remember from that night) of Madtown.

How does one post their business card without offending the mods by "self promotion"?

Simon, yours is nice. http://commencenow.net/card/card.html is the one I'm working on, it'll just be a temporary one until I get a professional one made up.
