Gnax Vs ThePlanet/ServerMatrix

Hi,

How would you rate Gnax compared to ThePlanet/ServerMatrix in terms of network and support?

Also, who's the best Gnax reseller? Friendly, swift support and payments via PayPal are priorities.

Gnax seem quite impressive so far, though I'm a little worried by the photos of their datacentre on their site... some of the cabling looks really messy. That aside, what experiences do you have of them?

Thanks,
Matt

Have you used both Gnax and TP so you can compare?

im definately leaning towards GNAX. They have better deals, and are a LOT more flexibile than SM will ever be

Agree with that!

Like I posted in another thread SM is becoming very much like rackshack IMO in the sense that they're pretty much just going with standard pre-defined packages. They do offer custom options with their ThePlanet pricing/line, but from my personal experience the level of flexibility offered by GNAX is far superior.

At the risk of seeming biased....

Theres some facts you should consider:
TP/SM doesnt accept paypal
Thier resellers do but SM really doesnt make being a reseller for them an attractive prospect.

Gnax has excellent support. The DC techs are the best I've ever dealt with and they respond within 10 minutes 24 hours a day and I mean 24 hours a day.

With SM you beter hope you don't need support, because you will not get any without a lot of work on your end. Search the forum for SM service complaints.

Only plus I can give SM is thier network is probably one of the fastest available for pure speed. Gnax is very close but for me, service and personalized dealings with a smaller company who can match the level of "physical" attributes tipped us towards Gnax.

SM are like Ford - cheap and reliable, until you don't need parts to be changed.

Thanks for all the info everyone

I was under the impression that ThePlanet/SM had a superior network, and they're very friendly. I'm a member on their forums and it's a nice atmosphere there too. There has been complaints about slow support though.

Gnax seem very good, I'm most attracted by the one-off upgrade payments.

Something to think about

Anyone else have opinions, especially on which reseller to go with for Gnax?

Thanks again!
Matt
