    ThePlanet slows down.

I am on theplanet and outside (theplanet) networks is very slow. I can up and down at around 30KB/s only.

Downloading from another box on theplanet network is normal.

    Anyone?

before making posts, you might want to check with at least 3 different sources in geographically different areas with different ISP's.. as it sounds the problem is with your own ISP.. which is common.

ISP's have network issues on a regular basis.. and often they don't let their users know..

I tested by downloading a file from Microsoft.com and could down at ~700KB/s , and from download.com at ~400KB/s so it's not my ISP.

At the same time another guy at theplanet has the same problem, slow upstream from here. While downloading from my box at theplanet is good. That's why there's gotta be something up at theplanet.com

Somethings definitely wrong. Try a tracert and you should see some high pings (intermittent).

far from it this is a segment of TP having a problem behind 1 certain switch not the entire network by far. the switch has also been replaced thank god as it has caused me several latency issues.

no problems here mine is back up and running like a charm maybe you should contact them accorind to forum from what I saw all is back to normal. After one horrible day for me though some serious latency all day I am so glad this switch is gone we have seen problems from this thing on multiple occasions in last couple of months mostly just serious latency issues.
