    * Advantage of having multi name server

    Hai,

Wondering if I own 2 dedicated server. Where the first dedicated server name server will be.

    ns1.domain1.com
    ns2.domain1.com

and the second server name server will be,

    ns1.domain2.com
    ns2.domain2.com

So if any domain point to the four nameserver above, was that mean if the first dedicated server is down. The dns will automatically tranfer the visitor who vist the domain to the next dedicated server.

Let's make it easier, domain1.com server down >> than visitors cannot access the site, but it will automatically tranfer to the domain2.com server.

there is nothing automatic about it. DNS like that has no priority, its just load balanced between all 4. If 1 server is down, one DNS query will time out and it'll try again with the next server on the list.

it will point to the 2nd server but if the domain is not hosted on the 2nd server what is the use of that.

well for my self i host my main site on 2 servers and i use 4 dns so any thing goes down am ok. the active part stays on one server but at least my full site wont go down.

    Thanks for the information.

Than I think the best way is to host the web site in two server.

Most likely it will for users who are already browsing your site (and lots of other people who use the same ISP name servers) as they will already have the IP of your site cached - so if that IP is down, then they won't be able to get to the site till:

    a) It comes back up
    b) Their DNS cache expires and they do another lookup to get an answer from a DNS server that is up.
