Question

Multiple Control Panel Choice For Customers

What is the best way to offer multiple control panels for your customers? Right now I offer directadmin and cpanel and can do this through modernbill. But I would really like to also offer h-sphere and take advantage of the built in billing system, and maybe eventually get rid of modernbill altogether.

As an example, I see Credible Host offers their customers a choice of 5 control panels. Any suggestions on the best way to accomplish and manage this?

I might just stick with what I have now, (I have no major complaints) but interested in your opinions on this.

Thanks

As i was aware, you most likely need 5 different server to offer 5 different CP's

Multiple Control panels does require a lot of training/reviewing/reading up and i suspect would be a lot harder to support unless you have multiple staff entities trained in some or all of the control panels.

Sometime ago I saw a webhost offering a hosting plan that has CPanel AND HSphere. I have no idea how how he did that or if it is even possible.

Your competitors are cashing in with Cpanel XP & CpanelAPP, are you?

I believe that would be Simon from DIY Hosting. I think he had two different servers to do it, but dont hold me on that.

It's easy to offer multiple control panels. Just get other servers and offer it.

Personally though, I can't see the sense in offering all the control panels. We offer Plesk and manage cpanel servers (plus we about to launch a new cpanel brand). Learning a new control panel well enough so that you can support your clients effectively takes alot of time. It's taken me ages to get my head around cpanel and whm. Hosts should specialise and be excellent at what they provide rather than provide more and be mediocre.

you need two servers to run cpanel and hsphere .. they use different placements for apache, named, mail, etc

Rockerhard's asking about a billing or automation system (Database) that would handle all of these and I am almost positive that nobody has it. I think that was the point of the thread if I am not mistaken.
