Looking for true Linux gurus: switching from mbox to maildir

    Hello!

I recently ran into big problems using hosts who used mbox mail format (significant delays in mail delivery, even lost mail). Watch thread http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=241537

Now, the question is: how painful is migration for the established server with few hundred domains installed from mbox to maildir format? Is there any service disruption or downtime or whatever what might be considered an inconvenience for the customers?

    Anything, please...

    Thanxxx

P.S. Urgently need a host with maildir supported! I need something like 1.5gb/30-40gb. 1 MySQL. Please write to [email protected] - thanks! Sorry mods... - my last host (which I'll not mention here; it's present at the thread above, btw) cancelled my account w/o any warning when I requested maildir functionality.

Take it your using qmail? Off qmails site theres loads of scripts to convert mbox into maildirs. Simple process too.

If your not using qmail, what are you using?
