Eeeek how do I access these files?

I was working on my computer last night and I was in fdisk after switching around hard drives and think I may have deleted the partition on my backup hard drive and recreated a primary one on it. I finally got windows installed on my other hard drive but now when i go to access the backup drive in windows it says that it is unformated! I neeeeeed the files that were on it. Any way I can get them back? I loaded the boost disk and it didnt show the 2nd hard drive, and wouldnt even let me run anyt command son the first (saying it was an unrecongnize media, its NTFS). In dos in windows XP I did:

    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

    C:\Documents and Settings\Mike>f:
The volume does not contain a recognized file system.
Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the v
    olume is not corrupted.

    C:\Documents and Settings\Mike>
    Get back to me please!

Its not an OS. its a live cd.
What you do is download an ISO and burn it to a cd.

    boot from the cd.
you dont install to hard-drive, its a full system that runs of the CD.

it *should* see all your files and be able to move them around 'etc. great tool just for problems like that.

I'm not saying use linux because you cant access files with windows... I'm not that baised.

use linux as a tool, after your done just take the cd out and boot into windows.

    Best,
    Eugene.
