I was a owner of a terrific reseller plan that I paid in full for a year. However the company I was hosting with (advancedisp.com) -> "has a new name now" was suppose to deliver me for what I paid for. However after 2 months of hosting with them they disappear no notice at all. I contact the owner of advancedisp.com and he said ALL customers were sold to anoxhosting.com. So I asked him what I should do to get my login info and etc. He said to contact the Head ceo of anoxhosting.com However when i talked to him he told me that I was not covered because advancedisp.com only sold him the monthly accounts. hmm...
So now I'm out of money. I lost scripts that I bought online, templates I paid for, and customers. Whats even worse is when he tried to sell my domain name . The one I paid for . So I decided to contact him because I just found out what his new company is. So I called his 1-800 # and talked on the phone with him for about 30 mins. He agreed to transfer my domain to my namecheap.com account and to send my money (was only asking for half of the hosting amount I paid for not even the other stuff I lost). He agreed to send me the money by monday night because he had to deposit money in the bank and the bank is close on the weekend.
Later on that night while I was on aim he was harrasing my son saying he dosent have to pay. So I got on to aim talked to him and he starts to tell me he's not going to pay but just give me hosting. Why would I want to host with someone again when it happen to me once? Whats nexts he's going to steal my scripts and templates??? Its just not worth it.
I'll post more info about the new company name shortly
Why not take legal actions? If it is a registered company I'm sure you can? Depends how much money he really owes you. I really don't know much about law but I'm pretty sure the grounds you stand on are pretty strong?
Reyox, I can't help you get your money back and I doubt that anyone else can either, but you say you bought some PHP scripts online. You should check with the companies you purchased these scripts from. I you have proof of the transaction I'm sure they would be willing to let you download the script(s) again.
legal action is the best way.. and hey beware, don't try to use threat/harrasement or you might end up in trouble yourself. Someone else (some other thread at WHT) tried to do that and ended up arrested
1) You do have backups of your sites/scripts, correct? If not, then you just learned an invaluable lesson
2) If you don't have copies, should not matter, whoever you bought the scripts from SHOULD allow you to get copies with proof of purchase
3) You didn't say just how much you were out on the hosting itself, but I'm going to assume from your opening post you either didn't pay a lot or you got way more then you probably should have for your money (aka too good to be true).
4) Personally, unless it's a substantial amount of money, sueing would proabably be cost prohibitive. Most likely this loser is just sitting there laughing at your "clarifications".
First rule of hostng: If it's cheap, it's probably for a reason
