    Mailscenner virus stats

Hi all, I'm getting more and more virus caught by mailscanner on my servers. I like to check thru the mailscanner warnings to see what viruses are being sent and what IP are infected.

However this has become a bit of a chore now as there are so many. I'm wondering if there is any stats script that will give me:
    No of viruses caught
    Top 10 Viruses caught
    Top 10 to addresses
    Top 10 from addresses
    Top 10 IPs

If not I might try and write a suitable one.

    Thanks, Rob.

I was looking for the same thing and came across this.

    http://mailwatch.sourceforge.net/

I haven't had a chance to install it and try it out yet. If you decide to give it a try let me know what you think.

    Mailscanner virus stats

Most of us run cpanel/whm and most us have also installed mailscanner for virus detection (mailscanner.info)

However although there are scripts like mailscanner-mrtg they
donīt suit my needs, and I guess that most of you also
    agree with me.

I guess that what most people would need and like are graphics like this:

    http://mailwatch.sourceforge.net/ima...y_date_rpt.png
    http://mailwatch.sourceforge.net/ima...iruses_rpt.png
    http://mailwatch.sourceforge.net/

and the capacity of include just strings like this in their homepages:

    MAILS PROCESSED: 10000
    SPAM DETECTED: 123 (30%)
    VIRUS DETECTED: 123 (30%)
    TOP TEN VIRUS DETECTED:
    virus 1 (%)
    virus 2 (%)
    virus 3 (%)
    virus 4 (%)
    virus 5 (%)

and the possibility to have such reports by domain, when requested
on demand by a web form...

I would like to know if anyone would like to join me in the idea of
creating a new application project for this. This would require the
search of a developer (we could hire some of the developers of the actual existant projects) and do some fund-raising or search for sponsors, what do you think....??

    Regards,

    Alejandro
