    Last one - I promise!

    Hi again,

    I've narrowed my strict 'motherboard selection' down to four motherboards:

    The AOpen AX4SPE Max

    The Asus P4P800 Deluxe

    The Abit P4C800 Deluxe

    And the Abit IC7-G

    Nows the tricky bit - which one do I choose?

    The prices are almost identical, does one exceed the other in any other way?

    I'll try to make this my last 'motherboard advice' thread!

    Thanks in advance,
    Jon.

    Really doesn't matter, come on!
    All of them are great mobo's, same prices... anyone of them will do.

    I've just ordered the Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
    based on the advice of those on this forum.

    I wonder if you could just answer two quick questions of mine...

    - Will it be compatible with Pentium 4 3.2 512Kb S478 Box 800FSB

    - My computer case has two connectors on the front for audio (pink and green). What do these specifically do, and does this motherboard definetly have connectors for them?

    Thanks for everybody's help so far.

    IC-7G for stabilty/overclocking. But the P4C800-E is a good choice nevertheless.

    It would work with your processor.

    Pink = Microphone
    Green = Headphones/Speakers
    Your motherboard should have connectors for them, or your soundcard, just look in the manual.

    Go with the IC-7G, I hear its extremely stable and you can overclock the mother pretty well . I just ordered the Abit IC7-Max3 myself from newegg.. now I gotta wait until it gets here

    I have a P4P800 Deluxe running a [email protected] as my desktop. Very fast and very stable... haven't had a single problem for the 5 months or so I've had the setup.
